Prostatic artery embolization in non-index benign prostatic hyperplasia patients: Single center outcomes for urinary retention and gross prostatic hematuria

Ayyagari R, Powell T, Staib L, et al. - A total of 75 individuals who underwent prostatic artery embolization (PAE) from December 2013 through August 2018 for retention (n = 46) and/or gross prostatic hematuria (n = 55) were retrospectively analyzed in order to present outcomes for PAE to treat urinary retention and gross prostatic hematuria in non-index benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) persons. It was discovered that for retention and gross hematuria in non-index BPH individuals, PAE gave safe, efficient, and enduring treatment.
