Prospective evaluation of a sustained-release dexamethasone intravitreal implant for cystoid macular edema in quiescent uveitis

Khurana RN, et al. – The purpose of this study is to examine the dexamethasone intravitreal implant (DEX implant; OZURDEX, Allergan, Inc) in the treatment of uveitic cystoid macular edema that had persisted in the absence of intraocular inflammation. This study outcome suggests dexamethasone intravitreal implant could be a successful treatment for patients with persistent cystoid macular edema in quiescent uveitis.
