Prognostic indices among hypertensive heart failure patients in Nigeria: the roles of 24-hour Holter electrocardiography and 6-minute walk test
Vascular Health and Risk Management Aug 17, 2017
Mene–Afejuku TO, et al. – This research focused on identifying the prognostic utility of 24–hour Holter electrocardiogram (ECG), the 6–minute walk test (6–MWT), echocardiography, clinical and laboratory parameters among hypertensive heart failure (HHF) patients. A high New York Heart Association (NYHA) class, elevated serum urea, Holter ECG–detected atrial fibrillation (AF) and ventricular arrhythmias appeared to be speculative of a poor outcome among HHF patients. It was determined that the 6–MWT was not a beneficial prognostic index in this trial.
