Cornea Aug 14, 2017
Quilendrino R, et al. – The objectives of this study are to depict Descemet membrane endothelial keratoplasty (DMEK) complications and strategies for their prevention and management. In light of these outcomes, DMEK exhibits acceptable rates of complications up to 2 years after surgery, which can be managed successfully. The anticipation of potential challenges and difficulties may aid in modifying intraoperative strategies for predisposed eyes. This knowledge may further minimize complications, specifically when performing DMEK for an extended spectrum of corneal endothelial disorders.
