Costantino G, et al. - Prevalence of pulmonary embolism (PE) was determined among patients presenting to the Emergency Department (ED) for evaluation of syncope. Rare prevalence of PE was noted in this patient population. Evaluation for PE was not recommended for all patients, but considering PE in every patient was recommended.
