Prevalence of low Back pain among adolescents in relation to the weight of school bags
BMC Musculoskeletal Disorders Jan 28, 2019
Akbar F, et al. - A total of 950 public high school students (aged, 14 to 19 years) from all governorates were estimated to assess the prevalence of Low Back Pain (LBP) in Kuwait and also to examine the relationship between LBP and the weight of school bags. Authors observed a resemblance between the prevalence of LBP amongst high school students in Kuwait and that of high-income countries. They also noted a significantly higher prevalence among females as compared to males. The relative weight of school bag (as a percentage of the body weight) was noticed significantly in association with LBP in univariable analysis.
