Prevalence of early loss of primary molar and its impact in schoolchildren's quality of life

International Journal of Paediatric Dentistry Aug 17, 2018

Monte-Santo AS, et al. - In schoolchildren, authors assessed the prevalence of premature loss of primary molars and its impact on oral health-related quality of life (OHRQoL). Findings suggested a high prevalence of early loss of primary molars and the OHRQoL of children aged 8-9 years is impacted by it. Significantly higher scores of Child Perceptions Questionnaire CPQ8-10 were seen in children presenting early teeth loss, as well as females and children with dental caries in other teeth.
