Tannus S, et al. - In this work, the prevalence of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) among older women referred for fertility care was estimated, their clinical characteristics were described, and their reproductive outcomes were compared to those of matched control group. In women aged ≥ 40, PCOS comprised 5% of the infertility diagnosis. Researchers identified polycystic ovary morphology (PCOM) and anovulation as the most prominent features. The improved cumulative live birth rate was observed with the higher oocyte number.
