Pressure and traction technique improve postural control more than tactile stimulation in foot plantar fascia. A randomized single-blind trial

Jiménez EMM, et al. - Experts designed a single-blind clinical study with two groups to investigate the acute impacts of manual pressure and traction technique on balance and plantar footprint variables. This study recruited a total of 40 healthy individuals (28 females and 12 males) to carry out a single-blind study. A bilateral plantar fascia manual pressure and traction technique were conducted bt the experimental group. Tactile stimulation was conducted by the control group. The evidence showed that the experimental group improved the stabilometry variables after the technique, particularly, surface with eyes closed and X displacement with eyes open. Compared with the control group, the static footprint variables have not shown differences after the technique.
