Chua ME, et al. – The aim of this work was to conduct a systematic review and meta–analysis to assess the impact of preoperative hormonal stimulation (PHS) on postoperative complications rates following hypospadias repair. In context of the data, impact estimates generated from the better quality of evidence displayed that PHS may decrease postoperative complications following hypospadias repair. Future studies should aim at distinguishing indicated subgroup of patients that will benefit from it and standardizing the dose and mode of delivery for best clinical result.
