Preliminary investigation of the function of hsa_circ_0049356 in nonobstructive azoospermia patients

Liu L, Li F, Wen Z, et al. - Researchers used quantitative real‐time PCR to examine the expression levels of circ_0049356 in both the whole blood and seminal plasma samples taken from patients suffering from idiopathic nonobstructive azoospermia. Because circRNAs have been shown to regulate gene expression as miRNAs sponge, a total of five miRNAs and 101 mRNAs were predicted to be putative downstream targets and a circRNA‐miRNA‐mRNA network was developed. Experts conducted Gene Ontology and KEGG pathway analyses, on the basis of the predictions. Findings demonstrated target mRNAs that have been predicted to regulate guanyl‐nucleotide exchange factor activity to mediate the GTP/GDP exchange, as well as downstream targets likely implicated in the regulation of the actin cytoskeleton, which displayed a significant function in cytoskeleton rearrangement of germ cells during spermatogenesis.
