Ganer Herman H, et al. - Researchers performed a comparison of clinical variables, sonographic findings, and pregnancy outcomes following the hysteroscopic removal of retained products of conception (RPOC) after delivery vs abortion via performing a retrospective cohort study of operative hysteroscopies performed between 2011 and 2015 for suspected RPOC. Observations revealed a higher rate of abnormal placentation in pregnancies following RPOC after delivery. On sonographic evaluation, the post-delivery group showed significantly higher maximal endometrial thickness, while the post-abortion group displayed irregularity and increased flow more commonly.
