Injury Feb 22, 2021
Luengo-Alonso G, Ibarguen ANT, Peinado MA, et al. - This study was carried out to assess predictors related to poor outcomes in surgically treated acetabular fractures. Researchers conducted a retrospective study including a total of 207 consecutive patients with acetabular fractures, over a fourteen-year period. They examined demographic data, fracture pattern according to AO/OTA, complications related to surgery, and predictor variables. After surgical treatment of acetabular fractures, femoral head damage and dislocation, fracture reduction, and seagull sign were the strongest predictors related to total hip arthroplasty.
