Predictive factors for lymph node metastases in vulvar cancer: An analysis of the AGO-CaRE-1 multicenter study
Gynecologic Oncology Oct 12, 2019
Klapdor R, Wölber L, Hanker L, et al. - Among 1,162 patients with vulvar cancer managed with radical groin dissection, researchers investigated factors related to the prevalence and extent of nodal involvement in this large subgroup analysis of the multicenter AGO-CaRE-1 study, by using univariate and multivariate regression analyses. In this study, lymphvascular space invasion, tumor stage, and depth of infiltration were identified as factors demonstrating the strongest link concerning the prevalence of lymph node (LN) metastasis. The only factors related to the prevalence as well as the extent of LN metastases were tumor stage or, if excluded, tumor diameter.
