BMC Endocrine Disorders Nov 03, 2021
Wang Y, Wang L, Su Y, et al. - This study affords a prediction model that demonstrates a good predictive ability for the onset risk of impaired fasting glucose (a prediabetic condition).
A retrospective longitudinal cohort study in Chongqing, including 4,926 (more than 20 years old), with an average of 3.87 check-up records, including 2,634 men and 2,292 women.
Included predictor variables were: male, age, waist circumference, systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, obesity, triglycerides, high- and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, blood urea, serum uric acid , total cholesterol, and serum creatinine levels.
The model generated an area under the receiver operating characteristic curve of 0.740 and 0.751 in the training and test set, respectively.
