Foote J, et al. - A predictive model was developed to identify patients with platinum-resistant ovarian cancer with a prognosis of less than 6-12 months who may benefit from immediate referral to hospice care. There was a high risk of death within 6 months for patients with platinum-resistant ovarian cancer who experienced a significant clinical event or liver or lung metastasis. Such patients should be considered for immediate referral to hospice care.
