Precise osteotomies for mandibular distraction in infants with Robin sequence using virtual surgical planning

Resnick CM – The goal of the present research was to present a series of infants with Robin sequence (RS) who underwent mandibular distraction osteogenesis (MDO) using preoperative virtual surgical planning (VSP) and three–dimensionally (3D) printed cutting guides. It was concluded that MDO is a successful procedure for the management of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) correlated with RS in infants, and VSP facilitates its precise design and execution.
