Ituarte F, et al. - In this meta-analysis study, researchers assessed various posterior spine fixation methods to fix the burst fracture using data concerning kyphosis angle, Frankel score, vertebral level, blood loss, operation time, hospital stay, postoperative bracing, instrument failure, complications, and follow-up of the cases. They noticed the greatest maintenance of spine kyphosis and lowest implant failure at final follow-up in the group with 2 levels above and 1 below with intermediate screws. They found no difference between the duration of hospital stay and blood loss among distinctive tiers.
