POPDC1 is suppressed in human breast cancer tissues and is negatively regulated by EGFR in breast cancer cell lines

Cancer Letters Sep 04, 2017

Amunjela JN, et al. – This study was designed to identify whether Popeye domain–containing (POPDC) proteins were suppressed in human ductal carcinoma tissues and if this correlated to clinical progression and Her2 status. Based on the data obtained, POPDC1 was suppressed in breast cancer. In addition, it could potentially be targeted to inhibit EGFR–mediated cell migration and proliferation.
