Platelet indices and erectile dysfunction: A systematic review and meta-analysis
Andrologia Feb 14, 2019
Yang G, et al. - In this systematic review and meta-analysis, the authors estimated the data to evaluate the probable role of platelet indices in the pathogenesis of erectile dysfunction (ED). They estimated the values of platelet count (PLT), mean platelet volume (MPV) and platelet distribution width (PDW). They found increased MPV levels in subjects with ED with a standard mean difference (SMD) of 0.651 fl. They noticed that candidates with vasculogenic ED had a higher MPV level as compared to controls. But, they did not observe strong evidence on platelet level and ED correlation.
