Bahmer T, et al. - Fatigue is a frequent and disabling symptom that might negatively affect physical activity levels in patients with sarcoidosis. In this study, it was demonstrated that in sarcoidosis patients, robust predictors of physical activity included exercise capacity and quality of life measurements. Importantly, data showed surprisingly weak associations of objectively measured physical activity with fatigue in these subjects. Overall, fatigue was subjectively perceived as highly disabling but might not preclude affected patients from being physically active.
