Photoaging and actinic keratosis in Danish outdoor and indoor workers

Grandahl K, et al. - In a population of Danish outdoor and indoor workers, researchers characterized the occurrence of photoaging, actinic keratosis and keratinocyte cancer and examined the correlation between these clinical findings and semi-objective measures of work-related solar ultraviolet radiation exposure in the same population. The results of this clinical cross-sectional study indicate that outdoor work in Denmark was related to increased occurrence of facial wrinkles and actinic keratosis from exposure to solar ultraviolet radiation, justifying clinically the sun safety in Danish workplaces. Findings suggested a negative association of older age with the occurrence of melanocytic nevi.
