PGT-A outcomes in high and low responding donors: A comparison study
Fertility and Sterility Apr 11, 2019
Lighton SM, et al. - In this retrospective cohort study, researchers compared high and low responding oocyte donors regarding preimplantation genetic testing for aneuploidy (PGT-A) outcomes via analyzing 302 donor oocyte cycles with PGT-A from March 2010 to November 2018 at their clinic. Outcomes revealed that E2 levels are correlated with the number of metaphase II (MII) oocytes and number of useable blastocysts. Oocyte donors did not display any association between ovarian responsiveness and embryonic aneuploidy. Euploid blastocysts were generated with the same efficiency in high responding and low responding donors. Thus, significantly more euploid blastocysts are expected to be generated per cycle in high responding donors. They recommend clinicians not to bother about an adverse impact from high response donors on donor oocyte aneuploidy.
