Penoscrotal vs minimally invasive infrapubic approach for inflatable penile prosthesis placement: A single-center matched-pair analysis

Grande P, et al. - The perioperative results, safety and efficacy profile were compared in the patients receiving inflatable penile prosthesis (IPP) via penoscrotal (PS) or minimally invasive infrapubic (MII) approach for erectile dysfunction. Findings suggested that PS and MII were safe and effective techniques. These techniques resulted in high level of both patients and partners satisfaction. Furthermore, a shorter operative time and a tendency for a faster return to sexual activity were achieved with the minimally invasive infrapubic approach.
