Patient-reported outcomes of femoral head fractures with a minimum 10-year follow-up
Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma Dec 04, 2020
Koerner M, Westberg JB, Martin J, et al. - A retrospective review was conducted to explore the clinical-reported and patient-reported outcomes of individuals with femoral head fractures treated at a single level I trauma center with a minimum 10-year follow-up. For this study, researchers distinguished a total of 101 consecutive femoral head fractures. A total 28 patients with a minimum of 10 years of clinical follow-up were included in the final study group. The results considered that individuals should be counseled that the long-term results of open reduction and internal fixation may be satisfactory but unfortunately are not predictable.
