Patient-reported outcomes and implant survivorship after Total knee arthroplasty with the persona knee implant system: Two years follow up
BMC Musculoskeletal Disorders Mar 08, 2019
Mathijssen NMC, et al. - From November 2013 to July 2016, authors quantified 146 total knee arthroplasty (TKA) to assess the patient reported consequences and implant survivorship of the Persona Knee system used in primary TKA, up to 2 years postoperatively. They noted 1 candidate with revision of the polyethylene insert due to a periprosthetic joint infection, 2 years after surgery. An incline in Oxford Knee Score (OKS) from 22.1 to 41.8 was observed 2-years after surgery. They concluded the Persona Knee implant, a safe and efficient technique with promising clinical results up to two years after surgery. They recorded very good PROMs results with great improvement in pain, function, and quality of life.
