Jain R, et al. - The aim of this trial was to evaluate the results of therapeutic keratoplasty in severe microbial keratitis individuals, in cases which were advised evisceration. Data demonstrated that primary evisceration was best avoided in the case of infections that were limited to the anterior segment. Experts advised that every eye deserved a fair chance even in hopeless cases.
