Oral immunotherapy using partially hydrolyzed formula for cow's milk protein allergy: A randomized, controlled trial
International Archives of Allergy and Immunology Aug 27, 2018
Inuo C, et al. - Researchers performed a randomized, double-blind, controlled single-center trial to evaluate the efficacy and safety of partially hydrolyzed cow’s milk protein-based formula (pHF) oral immunotherapy in children with cow’s milk protein allergy (CMPA). They randomized 25 children into double-blind pHF-pHF and extensively hydrolyzed cow’s milk protein-based formula (eHF)-pHF groups. This trial suggests that intake of pHF could safely enhance the tolerance to cow’s milk in children with CMPA relative to eHF.
