Oral health interventions using chlorhexidine—Effects on the prevalence of oral opportunistic pathogens in stroke survivors: A randomized clinical trial

Malik NA, et al. - A multicenter randomized clinical trial was performed with the aim to assess the presence of oral opportunistic pathogens among stroke survivors, both before and after oral health care interventions. The clinical data indicated that oral hygiene intervention utilizing a powered tooth brush and 1% chlorhexidine oral gel was useful in lessening the prevalence of oral opportunistic pathogens.
