Optical coherence tomography angiography in choroidal melanoma and nevus
Clinical Ophthalmology Feb 02, 2018
Ghassemi F, et al. - Researchers, in this trial, illustrated the features of retina and choriocapillaris, in eyes with choroidal nevus from small malignant choroidal melanoma imaged by optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA). A significant finding was the decreased flow rate of surface microvasculature (SMV) of choroidal melanoma cases as compared to the nevi. Detection of characteristic vascular features of choroidal melanoma by OCTA could make OCTA an assuring diagnostic modality to differentiate malignant lesions.
