Optical coherence tomography angiography findings in cystoid macular degeneration associated with central serous chorioretinopathy
British Journal of Ophthalmology Jan 07, 2019
Sahoo NK, et al. - Researchers analyzed 29 eyes of 25 subjects who were earlier diagnosed as central serous chorioretinopathy (CSCR) with cystoid macular degeneration (CMD) to recognize and investigate the incidence of choroidal neovascular (CNV) network seen on optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) in eyes with CMD associated with CSCR and also to illustrate the optical coherence tomography (OCT) features. They evaluated best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA), the sign of CNV network and its pattern on OCTA, the combination of CMD changes and OCT parameters like the height of neurosensory retinal detachment (NSD), the presence of double layer sign and central macular thickness. They found 44.8 % eyes with CNV network with 65.2±22.7 µ mean height of NSD. A shallower subretinal fluid was observed denoting the presence of an underlying CNV network.
