Mandal S, et al. - This study focused on the benefits of weight loss targeted rehabilitation programmes, in addition to non invasive ventilation (NIV), in the management of patients with obesity hypoventilation syndrome (OHS). Findings revealed that NIV plus a 3-month comprehensive rehabilitation programme afforded improved weight loss, exercise capacity and quality of life (QOL) at the end of the rehabilitation period but not at 12 months, in part, due to the limited retention of patients at 12 months.
