Hartwig TS, et al. - Based on massively parallel whole-genome Sequencing (MPS), researchers established an open source platform for non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT) in a public setting. Factors of importance for correct interpretation of NIPT results were determined to ensure a high sensitivity and specificity in this retrospective case-control study. As per findings, fetal fraction, a vanishing twin, BMI, gestational age and ART treatment were noted to be the important factors in the interpretation of NIPT results.
