New onset vs resolution of central-peripheral rivalry–type diplopia in patients undergoing epiretinal membrane peeling
JAMA Mar 20, 2019
Hatt SR, et al. - Researchers performed this cohort study of 33 patients (median age, 67 years [range, 51-87 years] with epiretinal membrane (ERM) who were undergoing peeling surgery to examine the occurrence of either resolution or new-onset central-peripheral rivalry (CPR)-type diplopia. Outcomes suggest resolution of diplopia in some patients but new-onset diplopia in others on undergoing epiretinal membrane peeling. They suggest a possibility of better postoperative operated-eye visual acuity in correlation with postoperative new-onset diplopia.
