Ventura A, et al. - This study contemplated pathogenesis of nail psoriasis and yielded an overview of the therapeutic strategies. The utility of apremilast and tofacitinib favored an early healing of nail psoriasis, as they exerted a direct action on the pathogenic targets, distressing the inflammatory signals related to the initiation and maintenance of the disease activity. Similar to several conventional synthetic disease modifying antirheumatic drugs, they were characterized by the convenience of oral administration. Increased number of therapeutic options were reported in recent years. Nevertheless, owing to the heterogeneity of the disease, personalized therapy ought to be provided for individual cases.
