MuSK myasthenia gravis and pregnancy
Neuromuscular Disorders Dec 03, 2017
Santos E, et al. - The influence of pregnancy was investigated in this study in the course of muscle specific kinase (MuSK) myasthenia gravis (MG, MuSK-MG) and pregnancy outcomes in females with MuSK-MG. Pregnancy did not appear to precipitate MuSK-MG or to have a major influence the MuSK-MG course. The authors found no apparent negative effect on pregnancy outcomes in those where pregnancy followed the MG onset. In the newborn of women who experienced pregnancies, either after MG onset (group I), the weight was lower, although none had low birth weight.
