Multiple reaction monitoring mass spectrometry to identify novel plasma protein biomarkers of treatment response in cystic fibrosis pulmonary exacerbations
Journal of Cystic Fibrosis Nov 29, 2017
Roberts JM, et al. - This study investigated if early changes in blood proteins during cystic fibrosis pulmonary exacerbations (PEx) treatment could serve as predictors of PEx outcomes following treatment when monitored using multiple reaction monitoring mass spectrometry and immunoassays. Findings demonstrated that treatment with intravenous (IV) antibiotics resulted in a significant change in several plasma proteins.
