The Journal of Evidence Based Dental Practice Mar 04, 2018

Oh WS - The impact of the implant abutment disconnection/reconnection on the level of peri-implant marginal bone was comprehensively assessed. It was illustrated that a trend existed toward greater changes in the level of peri-implant marginal bone with multiple disconnections/reconnections of abutments than with final abutments placed at implant placement. Hence, results revealed a significant impact of multiple disconnections/reconnections of abutments on decreasing the level of peri-implant marginal bone.
