Microbial keratitis after accelerated corneal collagen cross-linking in keratoconus

Maharana PK, et al. - An inquiry was set up with regard to the pattern of microbial keratitis following the accelerated corneal collagen cross-linkage (aCXL) in individuals with keratoconus. Researchers found that microbial keratitis was a rare occurrence after aCXL. Nonetheless, the infection displayed a tendency of being severe with high preponderance of mixed infection and resistance to fourth-generation fluoroquinolones.
