Patti AM, et al. - Since hormonal changes during pregnancy could trigger gestational diabetes (GDM), researchers examined the development of metabolic disorders during pregnancy, as well as the postpartum cardiometabolic risk. Findings illustrated that regardless of the presence or absence of the synergism between GDM and gestational hypertension (GH), these conditions ought to be dealt early enough. This, in turn, would reduce the cardiovascular morbidity and would improve the health outcomes for both women and their offspring.
