Meta-analysis of the use of hyaluronic acid gel to prevent intrauterine adhesions after miscarriage

Fei Z, et al. - Researchers sought to systematically appraise the efficacy of adjuvant therapy with hyaluronic acid gel in preventing intrauterine adhesions after miscarriage. Searching the Cochrane Library, Embase and PubMed databases, they included four studies in the meta-analysis (625 patients in total). Outcomes revealed the achievement of significant reduction in the incidence of moderate and severe intrauterine adhesions and significant improvement in the pregnancy rate after miscarriage in correlation with the receipt of adjuvant therapy with hyaluronic acid gel.
