Gray SL, et al. - Researchers carried out this study to investigate the effect of interventions to optimize medication use on adverse drug reactions (ADRs) in older adults. Reduced risk of any and serious ADRs in older adults was observed with interventions designed to optimize medication use. In health-care systems, implementation of these successful interventions could improve medication safety in older adults.
