Paulson KG, et al. - The goal of this paper was to investigate the Merkel cell carcinoma (MCC) incidence in the United States and to project incident cases through the year 2025. It was observed that an aging population was driving brisk increases in the number of new MCC cases in the US. This growing impact combined with a rapidly evolving therapeutic landscape necessitated an additional awareness of MCC diagnosis and management.
