Fetal Diagnosis and Therapy Apr 19, 2019
Mesas Burgos C, et al. - Researchers sought for the maternal factors in pregnancies that are associated with congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH). Analyzing the national registries in Sweden, they identified registration of a total of 972 cases of CDH between 1982 and 2015. From 1982 to 2015, they noted incidence of neonates with CDH of 3/10,000 live births. Risk of giving birth to a baby with CDH was elevated in correlation with pregestational hypertension, but there appeared no correlation in pregnancies developing preeclampsia and the occurrence of CDH.
