Maternal antithyroid antibodies and euploid miscarriage in women with recurrent early pregnancy loss
Fertility and Sterility Aug 14, 2018
Cueva S, et al. - Whether or not maternal antithyroid antibodies is associated with euploid miscarriage in women with recurrent early pregnancy loss (REPL) was investigated via an observational cohort study. Researchers analyzed women seen between 2004-2015 with a history of REPL, who were euthyroid or had subclinical hypothyroidism, had maternal antithyroid antibody testing and had at least one subsequent early pregnancy loss (< 10 weeks' gestation). Findings showed no correlation between euploid miscarriage and maternal antithyroid antibodies in these subjects. Hence, they do not support testing or treatment in this cohort.
