Sharma Y, et al. - Authors determined if the nutritional status of older patients at admission, speculated the unplanned readmission or death in the very early or late periods following hospital discharge. It was illustrated that malnutrition in older patients at the time of hospital admission served as a prominent predictor of readmission or death, both in the very early and in the late periods following hospital discharge. Hence, the nutritional state ought to be included in prospective risk prediction models.
