Low prevalence of relevant associated articular lesions in patients with acute III–VI acromioclavicular joint injuries
Knee Surgery, Sports Traumatology, Arthroscopy Aug 15, 2018
Ibán MAR, et al. - In patients with severe (Rockwood’s III–VI) acute acromioclavicular joint injuries, researchers defined the prevalence of associated articular injuries. They also sought to find out how many of these were correlated with the traumatic event and required surgical treatment. In subjects with acute grade III to VI ACJI, findings suggested a relatively low prevalence of relevant associated lesions. An associated lesion was seen in only 14% of subject and further surgical attention was required in only half of these.
