Low‐dose isotretinoin vs minocycline in the treatment of rosacea
Dermatologic Therapy May 27, 2021
Shemer A, Gupta AK, Kassem R, et al. - Since no previous investigation has examined the efficacy of once-weekly administered isotretinoin for papulopustular rosacea, therefore, this was inquired by performing this retrospective comparative study. To treat severe rosacea, 40 mg/week isotretinoin (24 patients) was employed. Experts compared once-weekly 20 mg/week isotretinoin (28 patients) vs 100 mg/day minocycline (24 patients), for mild to moderate rosacea. Findings demonstrated the effectiveness of a weekly low-dose isotretinoin in treating papulopustular rosacea, including among patients experiencing severe disease.
