Longitudinal analysis on the effect of insertion torque on delayed single implants: A 3-year randomized clinical study
Clinical Implant Dentistry and Related Research Jan 28, 2018
Marconcini S, et al. - During this trial, the role of varied insertion torque values were comprehensively investigated with regard to the implant success, marginal bone loss and facial soft tissues recession.
The findings revealed a greater bone resorption and mucosal recession due to the implants that were placed with higher insertion torque (IT) in the mandible than the ones placed with a regular IT. Furthermore, smaller recession at the facial soft tissue level was noted in sites with a thick buccal bone wall (≥1 mm) after 3 years.
