Long-term results after arthroscopic transosseous rotator cuff repair
Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery Dec 21, 2018
Plachel F, et al. - A sum of 69 cases with full-thickness supraspinatus tendon tears with/without infraspinatus tendon tears treated with arthroscopic transosseous rotator cuff repair (TORCR) between 1998 and 2003 to assess the long-term clinical and radiologic outcomes after arthroscopic TORCR. They recorded the Subjective Shoulder Value (89% ± 17%), Constant score (CS) with 84 ± 8 points, the University of California at Los Angeles score with 33 ± 2 points, and American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons score with 92 ± 10 points and asymptomatic repair failure in 9 subjects was examined in Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). They preferred arthroscopic TORCR for the treatment of full-thickness rotator cuff tears even 12 to 18 years after surgery because of positive outcomes as observed.
